Sara has been is a visual artist coloring the world around her since she was a little girl growing up in a tiny town in southeastern Ohio. She was the shy quiet type that focused on coloring extra hard and staying in the lines. She was always content just observing the world around her, from the textures or patterns to the variation of colors she saw around her daily. Ohio was a great place to grow up, but Sara had a desire for something more, more of an adventure or a challenge. She always knew that no matter what path she chose to follow in life, she was going to continue on one that fed her creativity.

Before leaving Ohio for a new adventure, she chose to stay close to home near family. In doing so, she earned her Bachelors Degree in Studio Art from a private liberal arts college, Muskingum University. Prior to graduation, she decided she was on a search for something more. She finally made the decision to move and travel across the country to further her education. She ended up in to Berkeley, California to follow her dreams. She began her Masters Degree in Transformative Art at John F. Kennedy University. To better clarify…Transformative Art uses art and the creative process to create a shift in the way an individual or a community views and experiences an issue or themselves. This is where she spent the next two years fully immersed in the creative process and strengthening her practice. This was a pivotal point in Sara’s career. The holistic healing approach and its applications with the creative process spoke to Sara. It awakened something new within and shifted her personal process. Art became so much more than just a “good” painting. It challenged her to find a purpose in each creation. To find a connection and a way art and the creative process could help others. While finishing her degree and thesis, “Finding a Way to the Center”, Sara moved to San Diego, California.

While living in San Diego, Sara began to take steps to grow as an artist. She slowly adapted new methods and practices to fuel her creativity. For years, Sara was a floral designer for some of San Diegos top florists, as well as an art teacher for a few art galleries in San Diego. She also taught classes for one of the top wine and sip companies in the nation. She was able to hold these part time jobs on top of starting her own art business. The variety of creativity really pushed her boundaries and helped her grow as an artist. For the past ten years, Sara has successfully taught art to thousands of people in California, Ohio, and Florida. She has also sold art to thousands of people all over the United States.

Sara eventually moved to Panama City Beach, Florida a few years ago and is currently enjoying this amazing beach community. Sara feels right at home in Panama City Beach. PCB and the surrounding area is a perfect combination of her two previous homes, Ohio (small town and country vibe) and California (beach town and tourism).

Currently, you can find art opportunities with Sara through her Murals, Paint Your Pet Classes, Paint and Pour Events (public and private), private art lessons, commissions (Pet Ornaments, Pet Paintings, Window Paintings and MORE) and new opportunities are always happening.
